P6 - Create a show-real, portfolio and home page

This showreel is just showing off a handful of my achievement I am proud of producing over the past few years of my time spent doing Media at Long Road Sixth Form College. The first one would be my group five minute breakfast radio show in the style of BBC. The project was that myself Jonathon Dobson and my co-presenter Charlotte Hurrell have taken over from Nick Grimshaw on the BBC radio one breakfast show in the morning. I'm proud of this because seeing we were only able to have a five minute spend for the breakfast show we managed to fit quite a lot into the show. We had all type of content ranging from music, live lounge advertisement, call ins, chatter between both presenter, news, a swear word slip which the presenter ending up saying sorry for, special guest interviews and a range of different content. I think what made that project so good was the commitment which was put into in, it also gave me the feel for what being a radio presenter would be like. We were quite limited with the equipment we used also seeing we only had one little microphone between both presenter and the guests we had on the show, we also had to make up our own jingles for the breakfast show which was more then a challenge to produce. But overall with this project it's one of my best as of all the effort which was put into it.

The second part of the showreel was again with the same group of people I worked with on the radio show. However the second part of the showreel was the music video we produced for the band 'The Staycations' as we got permission from them to use there song 'Bad Weather'. I was a big part of the music video as I was the main lead in the story. It was about a relationship between a couple, however it end up leading down a bad route. However I'm very proud of this project seeing all the time which was spent creating this project. For the music video we used two different camera to get two different feels to the music video. One camera was a Canon HD video camera when the other was a HD DSLR Canon camera. Both camera shot at a very high frame rate, that's how we managed to get such a smooth and clear music video. I have to say this is the project i'm the proudest about.

The last part of the showreel was a photography project I managed to produce. I went with quite a strange and creepy feel to the theme seeing I produced it around Halloween time which I felt like fitted this theme the best. I used the same Canon HD video camera to produce the images I took for my shoots. Overall I did two different shoots in two different locations. One being on the streets of Ely, the other being done in my college of Long Road Sixth Form College. After I took some of the images they looked a bit to plain, this is why I had to put them into photoshop and edited them a slight bit. I was so happy with the end result of them all I ended up putting them all together in a edgy montage.

Overall I loved producing each project which I'm proud of everyone single project I produced.
